Background: Second-trimester abortion is an important component of women’s health care, and women seek termination later in pregnancy for a variety medical social reasons. The present study was conducted to assess effectiveness sublingual vaginal misoprostol second-trimester abortion.Materials & Methods: 92 cases were divided into two groups equally: group I given starting dose 400 mcg sublingual, II (n = 120) vaginally repeated at 4-h interval 24 hours.Results: mean gestational age 16.5 weeks 16.4 weeks. Maternal 24.3 years 24.1 years, BMI Kg/m2 24.4, parity 0 26, 1 10 8, 2 8 7 >2 4 5 respectively. difference non- significant (P> 0.05). success rate seen 38 35 II.
